When it comes to phone repair companies these days, they’re everywhere, we get it! But who do you chose to open your $1,000+ phone? The guy that makes minimum wage and was hired with no experience and is watching YouTube videos in the back of the store trying to figure out how to take your phone apart? Or do you choose a company that is Certified and Trained with over 10 years experience in the electronics repair industry? Usually the $8 an hour tech repair is going to be cheaper, but did you back up your data before you let them experiment on your device? Everyone wants to save money, we get it, but there are things to really think about when it comes to the device that holds all your memories and important information!

I have seen it all when it comes to repair shops damaging customers phones, I’ve even seen repair shops that refuse to replace a customers phone after they damage it. We see a lot of phones damaged by other repair shops because we are Certified in Logic Board Repair and Microsoldering.

There are so many things to be aware of when repairing a phone that untrained technicians, even technicians that have been replacing screens for a couple years don’t know to look for. There are things like the folding of a cable the wrong way that can cause damage, and putting the wrong size screw in the wrong hole that can cause your phone to not turn on or boot loop, or knocking a micro component off the board causing your phone not to charge anymore, or not unplugging the battery and your back light circuit blows and you can’t see the image on any screen any more, and these are just the tip of the iceberg with damages we have seen inexperienced technicians make.

Phone Repair isn’t just Screens and batteries! Micro soldering is the repair that is done to your circuit board in your phone and can only be done under a microscope because of the size of the “micro” components! This is a rare field and not many shops do this. Most shops that offer this service are mailing your device off to a shop like PwrOn Repair to have this type of repair done. You will usually not be made aware of this fact and be told that the repair will take a 1-2 weeks!
